Forget Fox, Beck, Jones, Apollo Alliance, etc.

Look at what Obama says:

Mr. Obama barred officials of his administration from lobbying their former colleagues "for as long as I am president." He barred former lobbyists from working for agencies they had lobbied within the past two years and required them to recuse themselves from issues they had handled during that time.

And look at what he does:

Obama's nominee for deputy secretary of defense, William Lynn, has been a lobbyist for the defense contractor Raytheon, and his nominee for deputy secretary of health and human services, William V. Corr, lobbied for stricter tobacco regulations as an official with the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids.

A senior White House official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, conceded the two nominees did not adhere to the new rules. But he said that Mr. Lynn had the support of Republicans and Democrats, and would receive a waiver under the policy, and that Mr. Corr did not need a waiver because he had agreed to recuse himself from tobacco issues.

Listen to what he says:

He told reporters at his transition office that his package will set a "new higher standard of accountability, transparency and oversight. We are going to ban all earmarks, the process by which individual members insert projects without review."

And what he does:

Administration officials - including Office of Management and Budget director Peter Orszag and White House chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel – called the spending bill needed to keep the federal government operating through September “last year’s business.” Only in Washington can a spending bill that requires the president’s signature today be yesterday’s business. Although the $410 billion bill contains nearly 8,600 earmarks Obama signed it anyway. Those who opposed it and called it pork, Orszag says, should just “move on.”

Before I buy into the "my car is responsible for global warming" bit, I check out things like the History Channel program "That's Impossible" - "Weather Warfare" & US government programs like HAARP [High Frequency Auroral Research Project]. Interesting to contemplate what can happen to the atmosphere & jet stream when ELF waves are introduced into the ionosphere. Global warming may be man made but not necessarily attributable to those of us with vehicles.

Reading Al Gore's 1992 book - "EARTH IN THE BALANCE: Ecology & the Human Spirit" was enough to scare the daylights out of me.

If Glenn Beck is truly a Libertarian and has the popular support he believes he has, then why doesn't he put his multi-million $ wealth and (I presume) support of others to run for President in 2012 as a Libertarian Candidate.

That way we will see just how well his rhetoric appeals to, and how much support he has in, mainstream America.

Come on Glenn - put your money (which you obtain via your radical views expressed on your radio and TV shows) where your mouth is and let's see how popular your views really are in America.

If you really believe your views are those of mainstream America then why not run as "Glenn Beck your Libertarian Candidate for President 2012." This will be a true test of how much the US believes in your policies.

Get out from behind the safety of your radio and TV desks and let's see how popular your views really are to the American populous.

Beck was right on Van Jones. He was right on Acorn. And he is doing what a real investigative journalist should. Most of this Green stuff is a big scam. Several of my friends teach earth science and thankfully , they say most respectable science teachers are trying to undo the non scientific garbage put into kids heads by people like Soros. These teachers even show Gore's movie to point out scientific untruths. So at least the next generation coming up will have a clue. Of course, the corruption in the Fed will already have wasted huge money by then on a non existent problem.

I thank Glen Beck for telling the truth, as much as it hurts to some people. He told me to hold to my money more that a year ago, I did and no money was lost in my accounts.

I believe that this country is being destroyed from inside, as all the civilizations that are dead, have died that way: FROM THE INSIDE.

I hope the people that were reading this page in August can now see who Van Jones really is. Now you can see who was lying. I ,too, am in favor of developing green technology. Why didn't Obama put more of the stimulus bill money into this technology? Instead of pork. Why does he have to have socialists in charge of these programs? This is a sure way to end any green progress.

Code Pink, ANSWER, The Party for Socialism and Liberation, an SEIU, terrorist supporter attorney Lynne Stewart. Jones is a pro agitator. Yes, in the mix he gets 'good' done but that does not make him 'good' for America. He's Green for the World Union. To be able to join EU America would have to dismantle the US Constitution and Bill of Rights. Jones would love to dismantle white America, and if he told the truth he would say the same. All Glenn did was report the things that Van Jones said himself. It was Van Jones own words that got him in trouble. How is that a vicious smear campaign. If the things Van Jones said were so bad, perhaps he should have kept his mouth shut. Perhaps he should have chosen his associations wisely. Perhaps he shouldn't have admitted to being a Communist. Being a Communist, he has no business having the ear of our President.

Hey where can I find a copy of that paper that the Apollo Alliance put out in 2008 that had suggestions for the Economic Recovery Act, many of which made their way into the package? I would like to compare what was suggested by the Apollo Project and what actually was funded by Congress.

If you want the green movement to skyrocket then get the Gov. and the social justice radicals out and let the free market in. Why does free energy cost so much? Because the Federal and State Gov. have been subsidizing green technology, the Gov. has artificially made prices lower by subsidizing with our tax dollars behavior they think is appropriate, not only is this bad use of tax dollars this has allowed prices to stay high. ( why be innovative when the Gov. gives people money to buy your product )Take away the tax breaks and Gov. subsidies and you will see real competition and innovation in the green economy and prices will fall, once you can put solar panels on your roof and recoup the cost in 3-5 years not the 10 to 15 years it is now, solar and other technology will explode when it becomes economically viable. why does recycled denim insulation cost more than new fiberglass insulation that does not make any sense. If your true goal is to see more renewable energy than this should be your focus. if you want broad support of the green movement than you must remove the social justice and other radicals, if you want broad support from all people than the extremist must be put out to pasture. and reasonable people must lead the charge for your cause.

That's not what I concluded from the program. What I concluded is that Jones is a villain because of his radical past involvements and his self proclaimed communist views. Everything you stated in your blog is the truth as far as the Apollo Alliance, but you neglected to even barely touch the entire point of the program. Please challenge the statements of Van Jones's radical past and radical views by declaring them false supported by evidence. I need to not believe what can be confirmed--it should be easy to do, yet no one is doing it.

Some of the czars ( like Van Jones who is an admitted communist) are marxist plain and simple. These people are actually advising the president who himself admitted in his book that he gravitated towards the Marxist proffessors. His mentors were all Marxist. His parents were Marxists. BHO is hardly a capitalist as a result.

Beck and his ilk have every right to be concerned for where BHO wants to take this country. If you're not a Marxist/Socialist/Fascist/Communist you should be very concerned too.

They must have used Adobe Photoshop to crop that much out of the Beck segment with Apollo Alliance and van Jones. The segment also had pretty much NOTHING to do with green jobs or enviromental policies ..... pretty much like van Jones having nothign to do with green jobs or enviromental policies.

it had a lot more to do with Van Jones, quoting a lot of his own political ideals, his love of communism, his current avowment that he is a communist, his little boy crush on Hugo Chavez and how much Van hates Privately run companies who get in the way of communist.

The guy is unamerican trash. and I agree with this article in one way, news liek this is dangerous for the uninformed.

First, when are we goign to stop usign the term "green". it means nothing. it is misleading and vague in design and use. Liars and Politicians (aka bigger liars) use it to get weak minded people to follow people like Van Jones, who has little to no credential in this role, other than he wants to squeeze influence out of other industries and into his .... not enough to matter, just enough to get his cut, which he has proven in his past performance when he caves and loses his "beliefs" everytime an envelope is being passed under the table.

The idea that "a coalition between [sic--why are moonb@ts illiterate?] green groups, labor and social justice organizations" is going to "transition" anybody's economy is simply laughable and indeed derision-worthy. In a free society, thanks be to Zeus, political pressure groups have nothing to do with "transitioning" the economy.

You deliberately distort Beck's comments. He explicitly disavows the word conspiracy, saying it's all out in the open, though under-reported. And he explicitly acknowledges that there are some legitimate entities mixed up in this, not just extremists.

Tellingly, you don't rebut anything of substance that he says.

I commend Beck for alerting taxpayers to this grotesque misuse of their hard-earned money. Sunshine is the best disinfectant. Shame on the mainstream media for overlooking it.

Educate yourselves. Please. THIS is the interview in which Van Jones states he was a communist, after he was illegally imprisoned during a peaceful protest against the Rodney King verdict. He was not convicted of any crime, and has no criminal record. In it, he continues to explain how he overcame his radical ideals and realized capitalism can help him achieve his goals of social change (which, believe it or not, is a legitimate concern for some people who have more pressing issues than "HUR DUR I WANNA DRIVE MAH SUV").

Now... I wonder how so many anti-liberal Glenn Beck zombies found their was onto this liberal blog without direction from an outside source? Do you all usually surf the liberal blogs?
